Nanny abuses baby

It's hard to comprehend how anyone could abuse an infant. There's no reason to get angry when a baby cries. After all, the only upsetting thing about a baby's cries is the fact that the baby's unhappy. I don't know how a baby could arouse any negative, hurtful instinct in a person. How could anyone not want to protect and care for a baby? They're the most precious of God's gifts in this world.
